About the work
Indian Grace in Bloom reflects on the women who carried cultural practices forward in Singapore through the 1950s and 1960s. Inspired by the artist's mother, the portrait honours jasmine flowers, the saree, the pottu, and the quiet discipline of keeping heritage alive. It is both personal tribute and collective remembrance.
